Fiction disclaimer

Bafflery is a work of fiction. All characters appearing in any Bafflery case — including, without limitation, Maggie Glass, Theo Marchetti, Iris Chen, and any figure referred to as “The Architect” — are invented for the purposes of the story. All places, organizations, businesses, publications, podcasts, recordings, transcripts, photographs, and physical artifacts produced as part of a Bafflery case are likewise fictional. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, or to real businesses, institutions, or events, is entirely coincidental and unintended.

In-fiction email, SMS, and phone communications sent to subscribers as part of a case are scripted performances delivered through Bafflery’s production infrastructure. They are not real correspondence and should not be treated as such. The phone numbers and email addresses used by in-fiction characters route to Bafflery and are not associated with any real individual. Replying to an in-fiction message will not reach the character; it may be reviewed by Bafflery’s production team for case continuity. Do not send legally or medically sensitive information to any in-fiction channel.

Subscribers must be at least 18 years of age. Bafflery cases may contain depictions of crime, death, and other adult themes appropriate to the mystery genre. They do not depict explicit sexual content, graphic violence intended to shock, or real-world self-harm. Subscribers concerned about specific content may contact Bafflery before enrolling.

SMS communications are sent only to subscribers who opt in during onboarding and may be discontinued at any time by replying STOP to any in-fiction text message, or by adjusting channel preferences in the subscriber Casebook. Reply HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Phone calls are placed only to subscribers who opt in and may be similarly disabled at any time.
